16 of March 2021 in cooperation with Europe Direct Hradec Kralove, University of Hradec Kralove, and Hradec Kralove City Library Bulat Nigmedzianov from Yeye Agency successfully presented Turkey to the Czech audience as a country with great potential in many aspects, such as tourism, culture, business, and education. More than 350 people registered and more than 600 people joined the live stream!
During the online event, Bulat presented general information about Turkey: diplomatic and trade relations between Turkey and the Czech Republic, Ataturk’s medical treatment in Karlovy Vary, tourist infrastructure and the most popular cities and their attractions. In the second block, traditional Turkish cuisine was presented, including the history of the journey of Turkish coffee from the Ottoman Empire to Europe, and real estate, mainly in the tourist cities of Turkey, as well as practical advice for travel and shopping in Turkey.
The education system, opportunities for studying the Turkish language and the most prestigious Turkish universities were also presented. In the final economic block, information was provided about Turkish shops, restaurants in the Czech Republic, as well as the Department of Turkic Studies at Charles University in Prague. Further information was provided on the current trade turnover between the Czech Republic and Turkey, the Turkish Embassy in Prague, the Czech-Turkish Joint Chamber of Commerce, Yeye Business Development Agency and other Turkish companies in the Czech Republic and Czech companies in Turkey.
In conclusion, Bulat summed up the presentation that absolutely everyone can find something interesting for themselves in Turkey and that Turkey, despite the pandemic, continues to provide high-class and safe holidays with traditional Turkish hospitality. Up-to-date information was provided on the rules of entry to Turkey, including the necessary registration on the portal of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey. It was recommended to visit the official tourism portal GoTurkey and educational portal StudyinTurkey, and for entrepreneurs, the website of the Turkish investment agency Invest Turkey. It was also mentioned about cooperation with Skoda, Skoda Transport and Skoda’s Electric recent acquisition of Turkish leading coach and bus manufacturers Temsa.
After the presentation, participants primarily asked about tourist destinations, medical tourism, local customs, cultural differences between Turkey and the Czech Republic, plastic recycling and EU projects in Turkey.
